In view of the climate emergency coupled with the repeated health crises of the last thirty years, the agro-ecological transition of agriculture has become an urgent necessity, both for the environment and for society in general and for farmers themselves. Fighting climate change, preserving terrestrial and aquatic life, promoting clean energy, responsible consumption and production... are sustainable development objectives, set by the United Nations (UN) and adopted in 2015, which lead to a change in production methods. The EMRWINE project is part of this transformation logic and also contributes to the achievement of the programme's three priorities by enabling smart growth through innovation in agricultural practices, sustainable growth through the implementation of local and organic wine-growing (changing production methods so as to no longer use pesticides) and inclusive growth by promoting agricultural professions among young people thanks to new educational methods. These pedagogies will show that the sector offers jobs with a future and oriented with a societal commitment. The vine is a marker that is particularly sensitive to these changes (climate change, soil erosion, water management, reduction of inputs, societal pressure, health and food safety). All producing regions in the world are concerned by these issues and will be impacted in the coming decades. Consequently, winegrowers' practices must adapt. Agricultural education, whose primary vocation is to train future professionals, must learn to produce differently and adapt its educational content to train future generations. The ecological transition creates new professions, but above all contributes to the evolution of existing professions, thanks to the diffusion of eco-technologies, eco-products, and the appearance of new ways of producing, building, working and managing the business in its environment. The main objective of the project is to create an Euregional network on MRE between the production and training sectors in viniviticulture in order to create an ecological, sustainable and local sector in its means of production and consumption. The Meuse Rhine Euregio has a long history linked to wine and as such, being part of a responsible evolution of its production is part of this logic. In order to achieve this objective, it will be necessary to link the different stakeholders in the sector to define a new pedagogical programme for wine and agricultural training in the project partner regions, to facilitate the exchange of good practices between learners, trainers and professionals, and to generate integrated training paths on the Euregio Meuse-Rhine where learners will explore existing practices in the different regions of our territory. Therefore, EMRWINE will provide: 1. learners with skills on the 3 central themes of agroecology: - Producing differently by rethinking our production systems; - Preserving the resources on which wine production is based; - Responding to society's legitimate demand to engage wine-growing towards new possible growth models. 2. Trainers of tools to learn how to produce differently. The project should enable the resources and expertise of the Euregio Meuse-Rhine to be pooled in order to analyse the evolution of the different regions of Europe according to the climate changes they have undergone (both positive and negative). This analysis will contribute to the development of a strong Euregional policy for the consolidation and growth of an evolving wine sector in our regions. Therefore, promoting the meeting between learners, trainers and professionals of the Euregio Meuse-Rhine will help to amplify the impact of this green deal due to the territorial proximity, the common issues on greening and similar climate changes. The EMRWINE project will enable: - Carry out exchange days between learners and teachers in the partner regions - Organise awareness workshops for professionals in the sector and more largely for all citizens - Carry out internships in the EMR vineyards (cross-border mobility) - Carry out 4 joint training programmes for technicians/educational teams/Students/Professionals - Set up a communication and marketing strategy, with an ambassador, for an agroecological label for wine in the Meuse-Rhine Euregio - To set up an ecological wine e-training unit in the Meuse-Rhine Euregio (e-EMRWINE) EMRWINE will collaborate with the Dienstleistungszentrum Ländlicher Raum Mosel. Indicators: Awareness: 100 professionals and 300 citizens/learners (L) Training: Basic 120 (L); MBO 48 (L); Master's 48 (L); Continuing Education 72(L). (English)
