Fortress ReInvented aims at joint development and promotion of existing toursim potential with innovative approach and digital contents in historical fortification monuments in the area of project implementation. Reviving of cultural and historical heritage in a sustainable way with joint cultural cooperation activities will enhance further development and diversification of the cross-border tourism offer. Many medieval fortresses can be found and with their high historical, scientific and utility value they have important place in creating a tourism offer in the programme area. Fortress ReInvented aims to digitalize historical fortification monuments in two croatian cities, Šibenik (St.Michael's Fortress) and Klis (Klis Fortress). Moreover, revitalization of two other fortresses is planned, in Bosnia nad Herzegovina in Zenica (Vranduk Fortress) and in Montenegro in Herceg Novi (Kanli Kula Fortress). Apart Partner organizations that will be involved directly in the project, other public authorities will benefit from the project (regional development agenices, tourist boards, museums). Target group are also local tourism entrepreneurs, travel agencies and hotel-managers that live near fortification monuments, as well as tourism service providers, tourists and visitors outside the immediate region - those tourism service providers, tourists and visitors that will benefit from an increase in number of joint tourism offers all along the border between HR, BH and MNE. The aim of the project is to develop cross-border toursim offer by innovative approach, products and services that will create oportunities for communication across border, including transfer of knowledge and creation of joint cultural events.
