The project aims to increase the public awareness about environmental protection and protection of natural resources using the organic waste to create organic fertilizer - Composter in the cross-border region. With the implementation of the project promotional video will be produced that will explain the concept of composting (usage of the composting containers and the benefits for the households) and to promote the project. The raw video material recorded during the production of the promotional video will be used to produce a short TV announcement to call the interested households to apply and receive a composting container that will be supplied with this project. In the framework of the project, brochure will be prepared and printed and every citizen that will receive a composter as well as persons who will attend at the project events will get this brochure. Info days will be implemented where citizens will get their composters and will be trained in their use. The Studies that will be prepared in the frame of this project will provide information about the composting potentials in the cross-border region. Throughout the implementation of the project activities, municipalities from the two regions will be involved and be part of the processes of training, information about the benefits of composting and partitioning of the composters between citizens. This project aims to show that protecting the environment is one of the main priorities of the region, the usage of the organic waste in a manner that will not only reduce the pollution, but will improve the quality of the land through the produced organic compost. Raising the public awareness and the example that should be given to the citizens of the region is the main benefit of this project. (English)
