The project focuses on the prevention of biodegradable waste in the community (guest houses from the tourism sector; city park and stadium, schools) and households. Within the framework of the project, the following tasks are foreseen for implementation in the municipality of Elena, following the introduction of the studied good practice of the city of Chamberi, France: Activity 1. Preparation of the project Activity 2. Implementation of Demonstration Project Activity 3. Campaigns to promote the results of the project (three pieces) Action 4. Organisation and management of the project Activity 5. The activities of the project are in line with the objectives set for implementation in Article 31(1) of the Waste Management Act and Objective 1 to reduce the harmful impact of waste by preventing its formation and encouraging its re-use of the National Waste Prevention Programme. The expected results of the implementation of the demonstration project are: Reduction of the amount of Gross by 9.87 % compared to the total amount of Gross for 2018 in the municipality of Elena (by 3.92 % compared to the total quantity of TBW in 2018 or 120.16 t.) in the year after the end of the project by preventing their generation and composting. The project’s target groups include a total of 1,386 persons, of which: a) 426 children aged 7-13 in interactive activities in the Public Environmental Center; (B) 240 households with composters] (c) trained 25 master-composters; D) 10 guest houses with composters; e) 12 schools with 20 composters with a total of 1031 children; 20 teachers; in studies and monitoring: 100 households, 12 schools, 10 guest houses. Проектът е с фокус предотвратяване образуването на биоразградими отпадъци в общността (къщи за гости от туристическия сектор; градски парк и стадион, училища) и домакинствата. В рамките на проекта са предвидени следните задачи за изпълнение в община Елена, съобразно въвеждането на проучената добра практика на град Шамбери, Франция: Дейност 1. Подготовка на проекта Дейност 2. Изпълнение на демонстрационен проект Дейност 3. Кампании за популяризиране на резултатите от проекта (три броя) Дейност 4. Организация и управление на проекта Дейност 5. Информация и комуникация Дейностите на проекта са в синхрон със заложените за изпълнение целите в чл. 31, ал. 1 от ЗУО и Цел 1 за намаляване на вредното въздействие на отпадъците чрез предотвратяване образуването им и насърчаване на повторното им използване на Национална програма за предотвратяване на образуването на отпадъци. Очакваните резултати от изпълнението на демонстрационния проект са: Намаляване на количеството на БрБО с 9,87% спрямо общото количество БрБО за 2018 г. в община Елена (с 3,92% спрямо общото количество ТБО за 2018 г. или 120,16 т.) в годината след приключване на проекта чрез предотвратяване генерирането им и компостиране. Целевите групи по проекта включват общо 1386 лица, от които: а) 426 деца от 7-13 г. в интерактивни занимания в Обществения екологичен център; б) 240 домакинства, с компостери] в) обучени 25 майстори-компостьори; г) 10 къщи за гости с компостери; д) 12 училища с 20 компостери с общо 1031 деца; е) 20 учители; ж) в проучвания и мониторинг: 100 домакинства, 12 училища, 10 къщи за гости.
