The town of Zirc is a small town located in the centre of High Bakony, known throughout the country for its natural, religious and cultural values. The heart of the “High Bakony” is the central player of regional tourism, so both the local government and the tourism operators do a lot. The aim of our project is to create a complex tourist attraction after previous municipal investments, the main element of which is the development of the Reguly Antal Museum and Folk Art House, the creation of a new venue for events, and the development of a horse-bike hiking route surrounding the city. We develop parking capacity in the city centre as a related element and as an infrastructural development. The Reguly Museum is located in the former Dubniczay House. As a result of previous and ongoing investments, the external part of the building was renewed. A warehouse was built in the attic of the courtyard wing. On the ground floor we started to furnish permanent exhibitions and creative workshops presenting the trades in Bakony. In the framework of the current attractiveness development based on cultural conditions, we create a restaurant on the ground floor of the main building, while on the first floor and in the attic we develop permanent exhibitions. With the renovation of the first three rooms of the street wing, an additional exhibition space will be created. With this renovation, the entire building complex will be renewed and will host new, modern, interactive exhibitions, which in itself contribute to increasing the time spent by the guests in the city, as well as providing new, so far missing sights. The second element of our project in connection with active cycling tourism is the designation of a horse-bicycle hiking route around the city, about 30 km long, suitable for one-day hiking, with information signs. Beside Zirc, the route also affects neighbouring settlements: It passes through the territory of Borzavár, Porva, Lókút, Eplény, Italy. In connection with the route, on the low-traffic roads of the regional road network, further sections will be designated as star-tours, so the entire High-Bakonyt comprehensive network can be created. This part is linked to the Equestrian hiking route planned for the Kisbér-Mór-Zirc-Pápa route in the framework of the GINOP Active Tourism Network project, thus contributing to the development of equestrian tourism by strengthening each other in the case of the projects. The route is linked to the Gyulafirato-Eplény forest hiking route financed by Verga Zrt., and then the sections north of Zirc will be realised with the cooperation of forest farms. Together with the phase planned in the present project, the Bakonyi Betyárnapok-National Betyáráros Meeting can be reached by bicycle from Lake Balaton to High Bakony. The programmes are organised in the event area of the city, where the infrastructure is incomplete and a mobile stage provides the venue. In order to ensure that this event can be held under the right conditions and to make it a worthy venue for other events in the city, a new venue is planned: this involves the construction of a new indoor stage and the acquisition of modern sound and light technology. In this way, the city is enriched with an event space which, on the one hand, ensures the appropriate environment for our event, which determines the tourist offer of the city and, on the other hand, provides the opportunity to organise other events, further expanding the tourist offer. Our city’s major tourist attractions are all located in the centre, but the infrastructure is incomplete and there are few parking spaces. To this end, we will build a new 60-seat car park in the city centre, which will also be the starting point for the cycling route. With this, there will be more than 100 seats in the city centre, along with the parking spaces around Rákóczi Square, which is expected to be sufficient for the needs. This car park will also provide space for the guests coming to the event space, so it will be possible to use the wide range of events with a view to expanding the events. An interactive information board is also planned for this parking lot, on which guests can get detailed tourist information. Another important element related to investments is marketing: in parallel with the realisation of the project, we start a complex marketing activity presenting the expanding tourist attractions of the city; in addition to traditional paper-based publications, we intend to make the new tourist attraction known in the field of online marketing as well. The aim of our project is to expand the city’s tourist attractions, to provide new services and thus to increase the time of stay, in line with the other sights and attractions of the city. The museum has a 3-4 hour program, so it is possible to spend a full day together with the creative house, while the hiking route is also a full-day program for pedestrians, cyclists or horse hikers. A nyomvonal Zirc mellett a szomszédos településeket is érinti: Borzavár, Porva, Lókút, Eplény, Olaszfalu területén halad keresztül. Ezáltal a város olyan rendezvénytérrel gazdagodik, mely egyrészről biztosítja a város turisztikai kínálatában meghatározó rendezvényünk megfelelő környezetét, másrészről lehetőséget biztosít arra, hogy egyéb rendezvényeket szervezzünk, tovább bővítve a turisztikai kínálatot. Városunk jelentős turisztikai attrakciói mind a központban találhatóak, azonban az infrastruktúra hiányos, kevés a parkolóhely. Ennek érdekében a városközpontban egy 60 férőhelyes új parkolót építünk, mely egyúttal kiindulóhely lesz a kerékpáros útvonalnak is. Ezzel a városközpontban a Rákóczi tér környékén lévő parkolókkal együtt 100-at meghaladó férőhely lesz, mely várhatóan elegendő lesz az igényekhez Ez a parkoló biztosít helyet a rendezvénytérre jövő vendégek számára is, így-figyelemmel a rendezvények bővítésére–széles körű használatra lesz lehetőség.
