Photo Finale started to develop photo-working software in the 1990s as a software partner for Noritsu, one of the most respected lab machine developers. In the early 2000s, the company became a part of Noritsu and marketed its development as its own solution worldwide. By 2010, Photo Finale’s original leaders took the company back into their own hands and launched the development of a system that is even more suited to the online world and the demand for creative photography products. The new, highly complex software system, which was placed on the market in the second half of 2010, operates thousands of copies on the North American market and PF has developed a very serious local infrastructure to support it. As the first distributor in Europe, HPIX agreed with the company at the beginning of 2019 on the distribution of the system in Hungary and the construction of support in Hungary. As a reseller of the PF system, HPIX not only performs the resale of software licenses, but also provides the necessary training, advice or, if required, specific assistance for the configuration and operation of individual installations. The online and cloud components of the PF software system continue to run on Photo Finale’s servers. At the same time, the European installations are mainly run by CDN (Content Dlivery Network) on physically European-based mixes, which, on the one hand, is a tool for compliance with European Data Endpoints (GDPR) and, on the other hand, promotes stability and improved efficiency of operation.Labor Control (operator) programs (Production Area Module) (locally installed system) • Lab50 + Print 50 The laboratory controller is a non-essential component of the PF system — each manufacturing laboratory must have at least one such program (licens). The program must be installed on the central computer of the lab. The Lab50 program accepts orders for any product placed on the account terminals (APM kiosks) and online interfaces. In the images of incoming orders, it is possible for the operator to make changes and corrections, and then send the orders for production in any order. The lab control program can directly control certain printer/labor machine types; can create output files for certain types that are automatically recognised by their control programs, so that the printing of orders can be quasi-automatic; or any printer can be used using the output of the images to be printed with descriptive files. In addition to the Lab50, a full-featured program that also provides configuration interfaces, the Print50 simplifies the new lab control program focusing on the handling and printing of orders, which is currently under development. A PF szoftverrendszer online- ill. cloud-komponensei továbbra is a Photo Finale cég szerverein futnak.
