The staircases are made with double railings. Project-proportional accessibility throughout the building: the design of a modern painted plastic signalling lane, the installation of an accessible lift and the installation of an accessible lift will be part of the programme in respect of traffic to all rooms and buildings to be reached in accordance with the requirements, and the installation of an accessible car park and entrance design will be part of the programme.     Az intézmény a jelenlegi helyzetben az elért eredményei alapján egyre kevésbé képes a minőségi oktatást, az értékközvetítő támogató nevelést biztosítani. A társadalmi igényekből fakadó többletválasztási lehetőséget csak abban az esetben nyújthat a helyi és a környező településekről érkező diákoknak, ha megfelelő számú tanterem, a tanulók fejlesztését biztosító helyiségekkel bővül a jelenlegi épület. A heterogén csoportok fejlesztéséhez pótolni szükséges a hiányzó eszközöket, berendezési tárgyakat. A jelenkor elvárásainak megfelelő műszaki állapotú épületben lehet csak egészséges környezetet biztosítani a nevelés-oktatás feladatainak, támogatni a sajátos nevelési igényű tanulók fejlődését, csökkenteni az eltérő szociális környezetből érkező diákok hátránykompenzációját. A létesítmény energiatakarékos, korszerű intézménnyé alakítása, akadálymentes felújítása, négy új tantermének kialakítása, a meglévő létesítmény műszaki színvonalának emelése, fizikai állagának javítása képezi a tervezési program gerincét. A források szűkösségére tekintettel az alábbi munkák történnek jelen első ütem keretében:Felújítás-korszerűsítési, bővítési munkák: 4 új tanterem kialakítása a földszintes könyvtár épület felett, lépcsőház és akadálymentes lift kialakításával, átjárónál akadálymentes WC megvaló- sításával. A lépcső karszélessége, fokméretei, a lépcsőkarok belmagassága megfelelők, felülete csúszásmentes, a fok-kialakítás az érvényes előítások szerint nem függőleges. A lépcsőkarok kétoldali korláttal készülnek. Projektarányos akadálymentesítés az egész épületre kiterjedően: valamennyi előírás szerint elérendő helyiség és épületbe közlekedés tekintetében a közlekedők járófelületén akadálymentességet biztosító korszerű festett műanyag jelzősáv kialakítása, akadálymentes lift létesítése része a programnak, udvari akadálymentes parkoló és bejárat-kialakítás lesz. Gépkocsival burkolt úton lehet behajtani a telken elhelyezett parkolóig. Mozgássérült parkoló kiépítése az első ütemben megtörténik. Az épület gyalogos megközelítése a 2,4m széles utcai járdáról a bejáratig vezető 5,50 m széles járdán történik. A járda szabad szélessége megfelelő, járófelülete kellően szilárd és egyenletes, lejtésmentes kialakítású. A burkolaton vakok és gyengén látók tájékozódását segítő vezetővonalak kialakítása szükséges. Az épületben elhelyezkedő funkciókról áttekintő, irányjelző tábla a bejárati előcsarnokban jelenleg nincs elhelyezve, bár az épület alaprajza jól áttekinthető így is. Elhelyezése kötelező. Adott keretek szűkösségére tekintettel a tantermek ajtóinak szélesebbre cserélése nem történik meg, a tornaterem aula felőli bejáratánál lesz akadálymentes nyílászáró, valamennyi épületbe beközlekedésnél is biztosított az akadálymentes nyílászáró. Indukciós hurok biztosítása nem jelen keretben történik. Súlyosan károsodott nyílászárók kivitelezés során véglegesített darabszámban, előzetes vizsgálat szerint max. 15 ablaknál kerülnek cserére, ezeknél az akadálymentes nyithatóság biztosított. A helyiségek ablakainak 79 cm mellvédmagassága lehetővé teszi, hogy az alsó bukóablakok kerekesszékből kezelhetőek legyenek. Akadálymenetessé válik a könyvtár, a tanári, igazgatói szoba és az ebédlő is. Az épület földszinti előterében nyilvános telefon készüléket kell elhelyezni. Az akadálymentes használhatóság érdekében a készülék legfelső kezelőeszköze 1,20 m magasságban helyezkedik el. Az akadálymentesítési követelmények teljesítését részletesen tárgyalja a készülő terv akadálymentesítési műleírása. Gépészeti korszerűsítés keretében feltétlenül cserére kerülnek a gázkazánok és a teljes fütés-elosztó rendszer,valamint a radiátorok egyedi szabályozását biztosító berendezéseket is felszerelik. A fűtési rendszer továbbra is radiátoros marad, a fűtési energiaigény csökkenését figyelembe véve történik a fűtési kapacitás meghatározása az ablakcserék utáni fűtési igény csökkenés mellett is optimális működést biztosítva. A konyhai melegvíz szolgáltatás külön körbe szakaszolása lényeges. A villamos rekonstrukcióhoz kedvező előkészületet jelent, hogy jelentős mennyiségű napelem elhelyezése már megtörtént. A ledes világításra áttérést jelentős költségeire tekintettel és a gépészeti problémák súlyossága miatt jelen program nem tartalmazza. Homlokzatok hőszigetelése a tűzvédelmi előírásoknak megfelelően a tűzgátak biztosítására ásványgyapot hőszigetelővel, ahol megengedhető, ott a munkák átadási időpontjában érvényes előírások szerinti vastagságú polisztirol réteggel történik, úgy, hogy az ablakok cseréjét a külső hőszigetelő réteg minimális károsodása mellett lehessen később megvalósítani.
