The Nyírő Gyula National Institute of Psychiatry and Additiveology, the central site of the Institute, provides in-patient and outpatient care in 8 buildings, as well as outpatient care at an external site. The Institute performs its territorial care obligation (TEK) on 710 contracted beds. Active inpatient care is provided on 148 beds in 4 psychiatric classes, 30 beds in the Addictology department, 35 beds in the neurology department, 67 beds in internal medicine departments and 6 intensive beds on a total of 286 beds. There are 257 beds in the psychiatric department, 57 beds in the Addictology department, 111 beds in the internal medicine department, a total of 425 chronic beds are available for chronic and rehabilitation patient care. In addition to the chronic beds, the Institute also provides daytime hospital care. In addition to the inpatient classes, he receives outpatients in specialised ambulances and specialist clinics. The Institute operates a caregiver at its external premises, as well as an outpatient specialist practice. In the last year, we had nearly 11,000 inpatient cases, 198 thousand days of care, 78.18 % of bed utilisation. On 2/3 of the Institute’s bed number, she treats psychiatric patients and addicts. Our institution is currently carrying out extensive infection control activities, mainly performed by the dedicated hygiene team. The Institute’s current infection control activities aim to protect patients and healthcare professionals from infections, prevent nosocomial infections, reduce risk factors — at all levels of the healthcare system. At the same time, the main objective of our project is to develop and change the hospital organizational culture in such a way that infection control activities, prevention of infections, reduction of complications are integrated into the everyday thinking of all staff in the institution, and the implementation of infection prevention measures among healthcare professionals becomes a daily routine. Our further aim is to review our current rules on infection control, to incorporate recommendations at national level on infection control and methodological recommendations into the regulatory environment of the institution. In order to improve the organizational culture in this way, we will launch internal training for all the staff of the institution and conduct an internal communication campaign to raise awareness among patients, staff and visitors of the institution about the most important tasks related to infection prevention. The strategic goal of our project is to create an approach in our institution, with the help of which healthcare workers can prevent the development of nosocomial infections, recognise and reduce their risk factors. The institution’s management has committed itself to preventing, preventing and minimising the risk factors of nosocomial infections in the Institution. Infection Control Risk Assessment System, Individual Infection Control Risk Assessment and Risk Classification Data Sheet was introduced in our Institution. Infection control correspondents were appointed in all 9 inpatient units. The project achieves the following milestones: — The designated infection control contact points, those responsible for carrying out infection control activities and participating in the trainings organised by the project promoter of the priority project preparing methodological recommendations — The introduction of a care package for the prevention of the four most common healthcare-associated infections and the establishment of an internal control system to ensure compliance with it has been established. In order to strengthen infection control activities, a number of equipment is purchased in the project. We develop awareness-raising programmes for the staff and visitors of the institution. Free of charge, open to visitors, workshops are organised in the area of the institution, where we use various illustrative tools and presentations to draw the attention of employees, patients and visitors to the prevention of infections. Within the framework of the internal education, we present the content of the prepared care packages to the staff of the institution. Regular training is provided to all health workers. A certificate of participation in education is provided. Keeping the traceable educational documentation is essential. After education, we assess the knowledge and attitude of the health worker with the help of a test. The aim of the education is to help workers to make use of the basic knowledge they have acquired on a routine basis, to complement their existing knowledge and to present new methodological changes. All new entrants are obliged to participate in hygiene education, which is repeated annually. (English)

Minden egészségügyi dolgozó számára biztosított a rendszeres továbbképzés. Az oktatáson való részvételről igazolást adunk. A visszakereshető oktatási dokumentáció vezetése elengedhetetlen. Minden új belépő dolgozó számára kötelező a higiénés oktatáson való részvétel, melyet évente megismétlünk. (Hungarian)
