The project aims to reduce inequalities in the quality of the living environment in Gelgaudiškis and to promote the socio-economic development of this residential area. The project is planned to upgrade the infrastructure of Gelgaudiškis market square by installing a new public toilet and central representative square, as well as installing two recreational areas, additional outdoor lighting networks between multi-apartment residential buildings, and installing a pedestrian path in West Street. During the project, it is important to create an attractive living environment, to organise public spaces for various community gatherings and events, the built recreational areas will improve the leisure time of the residents, as well as the installed lighting networks will ensure safety for the residents of the target group, Gelgaudiškis mstl. and Gelgaudiškis eldership and small medium-sized businesses. Projektu siekiama sumažinti Gelgaudiškio gyvenamosios aplinkos kokybės netolygumus ir skatinti šios gyvenamosios vietovės socialinę bei ekonominę plėtrą. Projektu planuojama atnaujinti Gelgaudiškio turgaus aikštės infrastruktūrą, įrengiant naują viešąjį tualetą bei centrinę reprezentacinę aikštę, taip pat tarp daugiabučių gyvenamųjų namų įrengiant dvi rekreacines zonas, papildomus lauko apšvietimo tinklus, Vakarų g. įrengiant pėsčiųjų taką. Projekto metu svarbu sukurti patrauklią gyvenamąją aplinką, sutvarkyti viešąsias erdves įvairiems bendruomenės susibūrimams ir renginiams, įrengtos rekreacinės zonos pagerins gyventojų laisvalaikio praleidimą, taip pat įrengti apšvietimo tinklai užtikrins saugumą tikslinėms grupės, Gelgaudiškio mstl. bei Gelgaudiškio seniūnijos gyventojams bei smulkaus vidutinio verslo subjektams.
