The main problems to be addressed by this project are: 1) The city of Panevėžys lacks a wide-ranging public information campaign on opportunities for residents to contribute to the reduction of ambient air pollution, improvement of ambient air quality and possible consequences of irresponsible behaviour. 2) The city of Panevezys lacks a detailed plan of measures to manage air quality based on specific studies. 3) The streets and other public spaces maintenance equipment (technics) used in Panevezys is outdated and worn out. The project “Development of Air Quality Management Plan and Implementation of Pollution Abatement Measures” was initiated to solve the problems, which aims to improve air quality and reduce pollution in Panevėžys City Municipality. Planned project activities: 1)Development of a plan of measures for environmental air quality management. 2) raising public awareness of the possibilities for citizens to contribute to the reduction of ambient air pollution, improvement of ambient air quality and possible consequences of irresponsible behaviour. 3) Acquisition of street maintenance and cleaning technologies (installations). The target groups of the project are residents of Panevėžys city (93595) and guests of the city (13000). The need for the first target group is to live in a clean and healthy environment managed in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. The needs of the second target group are to feel comfortable while visiting the city in a clean and healthy environment managed in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. Pagrindinės problemos, kurios bus sprendžiamos įgyvendinant šį projektą: 1) Panevėžio mieste trūksta plačios apimties visuomenės informavimo priemonių kampanijos apie galimybes gyventojams prisidėti prie aplinkos oro taršos mažinimo, aplinkos oro kokybės gerinimo ir galimas neatsakingo elgesio pasekmes. 2) Panevėžio mieste trūksta detalaus oro kokybės valdymo priemonių plano, kuris būtų paremtas specialiais tyrimais. 3) Panevėžio mieste naudojama gatvių bei kitų viešųjų erdvių priežiūros įranga (technika) yra pasenusi bei nusidėvėjusi. Problemoms spręsti inicijuotas projektas „Oro kokybės valdymo plano parengimas ir taršos mažinimo priemonių įgyvendinimas“, kurio tikslas – pagerinti oro kokybę ir sumažinti taršą Panevėžio miesto savivaldybėje. Planuojamos projekto veiklos: 1)Aplinkos oro kokybės valdymo priemonių plano parengimas. 2) Visuomenės informavimas apie galimybes gyventojams prisidėti prie aplinkos oro taršos mažinimo, aplinkos oro kokybės gerinimo ir galimas neatsakingo elgesio pasekmes. 3) Gatvių priežiūros ir valymo technologijų (įrenginių) įsigijimas. Tikslinės projekto grupės – Panevėžio miesto gyventojai (93595) ir miesto svečiai (13000). Pirmos tikslinės grupės poreikis yra gyventi švarioje ir sveikoje aplinkoje, valdomoje vadovaujantis darnaus vystymosi principais. Antrosios tikslinės grupės poreikiai – lankant miestą jaustis komfortabiliai švarioje ir sveikoje aplinkoje, valdomoje vadovaujantis darnaus vystymosi principais. (Lithuanian)
