Creating local employment opportunities in the city of Širvintos would enable the working-age population to realise their potential in the labour market, attract young people, reduce both local and international emigration rates and contribute to solving the problems of vulnerable groups. The local action group set up in Širvintos city is aimed at increasing employment opportunities in the labour market. This requires a strategy of the Širvintas City Local Action Group 2016-2020, which analyses the social situation of Širvintas city and highlights the needs of local residents in order to address unemployment problems and the increased participation of vulnerable groups in local activities. In response to these needs, the aim of the project is to enhance the social integration of Širvintas city communities and improve employability through links between local communities, businesses and local authorities. In order to achieve the objective of the project, it is necessary to implement this objective — to develop a local development strategy for the city of Širvintas, with a view to improving the social integration and employability of the city. The objective will be achieved through the implementation of this action — the preparation of a local development strategy for the city of Širvintos. During the implementation of the activities, the following measures will be carried out: conducting a survey of residents, business representatives and government representatives, organising meetings with residents, business representatives and government representatives, preliminary self-assessment and presentation of Strategy measures (projects) to service providers, carrying out an analysis of the current socio-economic environment of Širvintas city, formulation of strategy priorities, objectives, objectives and measures and development of a system for monitoring implementation. Vietinių įsidarbinimo galimybių sukūrimas Širvintų mieste sudarytų sąlygas darbo amžiaus gyventojams išnaudoti savo potencialą darbo rinkoje, pritrauktų jaunimą, mažintų tiek vietinės, tiek tarptautinės emigracijos rodiklius bei prisidėtų prie pažeidžiamų grupių problemų sprendimo. Šiuo projektu ir siekiama didinti Širvintų miesto įsidarbinimo galimybes, skatinant bendruomenių socialinę integraciją, išnaudojant bendruomenės, verslo ir vietinės valdžios ryšius. Įkurta Širvintų miesto vietos veiklos grupė yra orientuota į užimtumo galimybių darbo rinkoje didinimą. Tam reikalinga 2016-2020 metų Širvintų miesto vietos veiklos grupės strategija, kurioje būtų išanalizuota socialinė Širvintų miesto situacija, atkreipiamas dėmesys į vietos gyventojų poreikius, siekiant spręsti nedarbo problemas bei pažeidžiamų grupių didesnį dalyvavimą vietos veikloje. Atsižvelgiant į šiuos poreikius, formuluojamas projekto tikslas - Širvintų miesto bendruomenių socialinės integracijos didinimas bei įsidarbinimo galimybių gerinimas pasitelkiant vietos bendruomenių, verslo ir vietos valdžios ryšius. Projekto tikslui pasiekti būtina įgyvendinti šį uždavinį - Parengti Širvintų miesto vietos plėtros strategiją, siekiant miesto socialinės integracijos ir įsidarbinimo galimybių gerinimo. Uždavinys bus pasiektas įvykdžius šią veiklą - Širvintų miesto vietos plėtros strategijos parengimas. Veiklos įgyvendinimo metu bus vykdomos šios priemonės - gyventojų, verslo atstovų ir valdžios atstovų apklausos vykdymas, susitikimų su gyventojais, verslo atstovais ir valdžios atstovais organizavimas, preliminarus Strategijos priemonių (projektų) įsivertinimas ir pateikimas paslaugų teikėjams, esamos Širvintų miesto socialinės ekonominės aplinkos analizės atlikimas, strategijos prioritetų, tikslų, uždavinių bei priemonių formulavimas bei įgyvendinimo stebėsenos sistemos kūrimas.
