Projektu siekiama padidinti bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų mokinių ugdymo kokybę ir pasiekimus, modernizuojant 1-8 klasių mokinių gamtos ir technologinių mokslų tiriamosios bei praktinės veiklos aplinką, visų mokinių kintančius ugdymosi poreikius, skaitmeninių technologijų priemonių naudojimą. Projekto metu beveik visos šalies mokyklos bus aprūpintos gamtos ir technologinių mokslų priemonėmis bei įranga, bus rengiamos metodikos, kurios padės taikyti įsigytas mokymo priemones ir įrangą atliekant įvairius eksperimentus, tyrimus, bandymus, laboratorinius darbus. Tikimasi, kad tai paskatins susidomėjimą gamtos ir technologiniais mokslais, didins šių mokslų potencialą bei būsimų gamtos ir technologinių mokslų specialistų skaičių. Dėl pandeminės situacijos pasaulyje, iš esmės keičiantis ugdymo organizavimo procesams ir ugdymo metodams, didėjant šiuolaikinei skaitmeninio ugdymo turinio pasiūlai, dauguma šalies mokyklų mokinių bus aprūpinti kompiuterine įranga, skirta nuotoliniam ugdymui, skaitmeniniam ugdymo turiniui naudoti. Ugdant mokinių gamtamokslį/technologinį/inžinerinį raštingumą, septyneriuose Lietuvos miestuose (Alytuje, Marijampolėje, Panevėžyje, Šiauliuose, Tauragėje, Telšiuose, Utenoje) bus sukurti 7 regioniniai STEAM atviros prieigos centrai. Centruose bus kuriamos standartizuotos (biologija-chemija, fizika-inžinerija, robotika arba gamtamokslinė ir mechatroninė/IT ) ir specializuotos (atspindinčios konkrečios apskrities teritorijos specifiką) laboratorijos. Centruose numatoma organizuoti, formaliojo ugdymo užsiėmimus, neformaliojo vaikų švietimo projektus, mokytojų kompetencijos tobulinimo užsiėmimus. (Lithuanian)

The project aims to increase the quality and achievements of school pupils’ education by modernising the environment of research and practice of science and technological sciences of 1-8 grades, the changing educational needs of all pupils, and the use of digital technology tools. During the project, almost all schools in the country will be provided with tools and equipment for natural and technological sciences, and methodologies will be developed to support the application of purchased teaching tools and equipment in various experiments, studies, tests and laboratory work. This is expected to stimulate interest in natural and technological sciences, increase the potential of these sciences and increase the number of future specialists in science and technology. Due to the pandemic situation in the world, with major changes in educational organisation processes and methods of education, the increasing supply of modern digital educational content, most school pupils in the country will be provided with computer equipment for distance education and the use of digital educational content. 7 regional STEAM Open Access Centres will be created in seven Lithuanian cities (Alytus, Marijampolė, Panevėžys, Šiauliai, Tauragė, Telšiai, Utena) to develop students’ natural/technological/engineering literacy. The centres will develop standardised laboratories (biology-chemistry, physics-engineering, robotics or nature science and mechatron/IT) and specialised laboratories (reflecting the specifics of a particular area of the county). The centres provide for the organisation of formal education activities, non-formal children’s education projects, teachers’ competence development activities. (English)
