Scheepswerf Kooiman Hoebee B.V. (hierna: Kooiman Hoebee) is een traditioneel familiebedrijf. Bij de scheepswerf werken ongeveer 80 a 100 medewerkers in weer en wind. Een aantal medewerkers hebben aangegeven het fysiek zware werk niet meer trekken. Daarnaast is het ziekteverzuim en ook het verloop bijzonder hoog. Dit zijn alarmerende signalen waardoor Kooiman Hoebee iets moet doen om het personeel duurzaam inzetbaar te houden: er zijn signalen dat het ziekteverzuim en hoge verloop niet alleen komt door het zware werk maar ook door de sfeer op de werkvloer.
