Family business Vobra Diervoeders Loosbroek B.V. (hereinafter: Vobra) is a manufacturer of high-quality extruded or pressed pet food for dogs and cats. Vobra has a relatively low turnover in staff and a high average age. These no longer too young employees are expected to perform physically heavy work on shiftwork. Vobra notes that this has its impact on the employees, for example, there is a high absenteeism within the production department. The disappearance of sick employees automatically ensures that the other employees have to take over this work. As a result, the production staff experience an ever-increasing workload, more irritation and have a reduced working pleasure. As sustainable employability has been high on Vobra’s agenda for a long time, the sustainable employability of employees was highlighted in 2016. The organisation scan shows that employees are afraid of the changes that Vobra wants to make: increased awareness and responsibility of employees for their own sustainable employability. This ensures that the intended awareness can be achieved at a much lower pace. Vobra therefore wants to extend the trajectory started in 2016 and roll out at a slower pace with more attention to creating awareness and self-responsibility. This reduces sick leave, reduces work stress, increases employee involvement and creates a pleasant working atmosphere and increases productivity. (English) | |||||||||||||||

Familiebedrijf Vobra Diervoeders Loosbroek B.V. (Dutch)
