This application for funding by the European Social Fund concerns a project initiative taken by the Swedish professional football club FC Rosengård. The association FC Rosengård is an important stakeholder regarding work for a socially sustainable society in the City of Malmö in Sweden. FC Rosengård has the intention to carry out a labour market project in cooperation with the Public Employment Service, the City of Malmö, the Region of Skåne and employers in the region within the Youth Employment Initiative. The overall objective with the project Boost by FC Rosengård II is to facilitate for inactive youth, neither in work nor in studies, to either strengthen their qualifications by education or to get employed. The project is designed to have 1710 participants who are supposed to participate to get tools and solutions to enhance their motivation, self-knowledge, self-esteem, self-confidence, the participation in and responsibility for their individual development process, their knowledge about possibilities for training, work and studies, their knowledge about business and enterprise and their desire and capacity for self-sufficiency. The project activities consist mostly of activities as guidance, information, keep-fit measures, inhouse training, therapeutical talks, preparations for work, training in a place of work, entrepreneurial actions and cooperation with employers. The project model and the basic strategies used by FC Rosengård have been proved very successful in projects carried out during the last ten years.
