Public service broadcasting: fit for future jobs AWO-Fonds Omroep has been asked by the social partners to prepare an ESF grant application as an O-fund for public service broadcasting. The ESF grant can give the public service broadcaster additional financial leeway so that: 1) the awareness of urgency among incumbent employees/50+ and managers of public broadcasting institutions can be turned into action-willing/knowledge action and successful improvements in sustainable employability through effective implementation of forward-looking career policies with upskilling for future jobs and 2) career tools and upskilling programmes can be designed and tested with a view to strengthening competences and career development for future jobs in the media landscape, thereby increasing employability — within public broadcasting. Publieke omroep: fit for future jobs AWO-Fonds Omroep is als O&O-fonds voor de publieke omroep door de sociale partners gevraagd om een ESF-subsidieaanvraag op te stellen. De ESF-subsidie kan de publieke omroep extra financiële armslag geven zodat: 1) het aanwezig urgentiebesef bij zittende medewerkers/50-plussers én leidinggevenden van publieke omroepinstellingen kan worden omgezet in actiebereidheid/bewust bekwaam handelen en succesvolle verbeteringen van de duurzame inzetbaarheid d.m.v. daadwerkelijke implementatie van toekomstgericht loopbaanbeleid met bijscholing voor future jobs en 2) loopbaaninstrumenten en bijscholingsprogramma’s kunnen worden vormgegeven en getest gericht op het versterken van competenties en loopbaanontwikkeling voor future jobs in het medialandschap, waardoor de inzetbaarheid -binnen de publieke omroep- kan worden vergroot.
