Het project betreft een nieuwe subsidieregeling, de VIA 2019. Deze subsidieregeling volgt de Versneller Innovatieve Ambities 2018 (VIA 2018) op die sinds 1 juli 2017 beschikbaar is voor mkb-ondernemingen. Het succes van deze regeling was de aanleiding om vervolg te geven aan deze subsidieregeling.
