Developing innovative adhesive blends for a wide range of applications in the wood industry
Property / summary

Liquid UF resins on the market are not suitable for spray drying. New knowledge on the composition and effective method of synthesis of urea-formaldehyde condensates susceptible to spray drying will be created during the planned industrial research. A technology will then be developed for the production of single-component adhesive mixtures that will have a reduced environmental impact by reducing formaldehyde emissions to even below the concentration of half of E1 class. In addition, the project involves the creation of adhesives that significantly improve the performance of the manufactured products (furniture, flooring elements and interior furnishings). Funkcjonujące na rynku płynne żywice UF nie nadają się do suszenia rozpyłowego. W toku projektowanych badań przemysłowych wytworzona będzie nowa wiedza dotycząca składu i efektywnego sposobu syntezy kondensatów mocznikowo-formaldehydowych podatnych na suszenie rozpyłowe. Następnie opracowana zostanie technologia produkcji jednokomponentowych mieszanek klejowych które będzie cechował zmniejszony wpływ na środowisko poprzez ograniczenie emisji formaldehydu do wartości nawet poniżej stężenia połowy klasy E1. Dodatkowo projekt zakłada stworzenie klejów znacząco poprawiających cechy użytkowe wytwarzanych produktów (mebli, elementów podłogowych i wyposażenia wnętrz).
