Clean technologies for sustainable environment — water, waste, energy for a circular economy
Property / summary

The CCP Cleanamp;Circle project is focused on building an efficient modular infrastructure in the area of 1/Control, Treatment, Water Management; 2/Handling, recycling, recovery and disposal of solid waste; 3/Realisation of an energy and resource-efficient economy by obtaining renewable and alternative sources of energy, materials and resources; 4/Stimulate innovations in technologies for sustainable environment and circular economy 5/Development and realisation of the entrepreneurship of young professionals in the above areas. Partners in the CCP are: Sofia University, University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, University of Forestry, University of Burgas, I-t of Physical Chemistry, I-t of Organic Chemistry with Centre of Phytochemistry, I-t of Microbiology of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Cleintech Bulgaria Foundation. Associated partners are: Sofia Municipality, Sofia Voda Company, Interplast BG Ltd., Energy Agency — Plovdiv, University of Modena-Italy. The center will be built of three vertical modules — Voddy, Solid Waste and Transfer and will have 4 horizontal priorities: ‘Eco-efficiency’: Developing innovations for the efficient exploitation of technologies; ‘Energy’: Obtaining renewable and alternative sources of energy; ‘Resource recovery’: Obtaining chemical elements and bio-raw materials from waste and waste water; ‘Alternative resources’: Obtaining new, composite and nanomaterials from waste. The CCP will carry out cutting-edge research into the creation of products, services and clean technologies with high resource and energy efficiency and significant economic, social and environmental added value in the Transfer module planning training, dissemination of results, transfer and commercialisation of technologies and technological entrepreneurship. Large-scale study and qualification programs are planned for students, business graduates and scientific institutions (English)
