Property / summary | |||||||||||||||
The provision of the service “Monitored Housing” will support young people from 18 to 21 years old, leaving specialised institutions, transition homes, family-type accommodation centres for children and young people, children and young people with disabilities, as well as people at risk from the community, who do not have families or receive no family support in the challenge of starting to lead an independent lifestyle. For risk groups, it is necessary to provide an environment close to the family, aimed at improving the quality of life, overcoming social exclusion and supporting the development of the potential of each consumer. The needs of young people require the provision of a range of services and care, through which they have the opportunity to exercise their right to choose in terms of leisure, social activities, cultural interests, food, personal and social relations, etc. For this purpose qualified staff will be recruited to assist individuals in maintaining their relations with relatives and relatives, taking an individual approach in providing care, helping to continue their education, career guidance and inclusion in the labour market. The project proposal will contribute to the continuation of the process of deinstitutionalisation of child care in the country in accordance with the updated Action Plan for the implementation of the National Strategy “Vision for the Deinstitutionalisation of Children in the Republic of Bulgaria” and is part of the overall integrated process to end the placement of children in institutions and their final closure.
