The present project proposal "Technical assistance for the preparation of the project "Modernisation of the Sofia — border with the Republic of Serbia" includes the preparation of the projects for modernisation of the railway sections Sofia — Dragoman and Dragoman — border with the Republic of Serbia.The project proposal includes the following activities:ü-Performance of field archaeological studies for the railway line Sofia — Dragomanü-Preparation of a technical project for modernisation of the railway infrastructure in the railway section of Petar — Dragoman — Dragoman railway section — Dragoman-Performance of the railway section of the railway section — Dragoman — border of the railway section of the Republic of Serbia. The railway line has a total length of 58 km. Essentially, in terms of the characteristics of the terrain it passes, the line can be divided into three sections: Sofia — Petrich — 23 km relatively flat terrain; Petarch — Dragoman — 22 km of hill-mountain terrain and Dragoman — border with the Republic of Serbia — 13 km of mountain terrain. The boundaries of the railway sections included in the scope for preparation in this project proposal are as follows: • From the final arrow of the Central Station of Sofia, direction Dragoman along the main railway line Nis — Dragoman — Sofia (Sofia Central Station is not included); • Up to the border with the Republic of Serbia.In order to achieve the forecast traffic, meet the requirements for interoperability and realise the possibility for speeds of 160 km/h and 120 km/h respectively for passenger and freight compositions, a conceptual design of a variant for modernisation of the railway line in the Sofia — Dragoman — Spirka Umljak section has been developed, providing for exit from the existing route. Настоящото проектно предложение „Техническа помощ за подготовка на проект „Модернизация на железопътната линия София – граница с Република Сърбия“ включва подготовката на проектите за модернизация на железопътните участъци София – Драгоман и Драгоман – граница с Р. Сърбия.Проектното предложение включва следните дейности:ü-Извършване на теренно археологически проучвания за жп линията София – Драгоманü-Изготвяне на технически проект за модернизация на железопътната инфраструктура в жп участък Петърч – Драгоманü-Извършване на предварителни проучвания и изготвяне на идеен проект по части железен път и геодезия за модернизация на жп участък Драгоман – граница с Република Сърбияü-Дейности, свързани със заплащане на административни такси.ü-Мерки за информация и публичностЖелезопътната линия София – граница с Р. Сърбия е част от Трансевропейската транспортна мрежа и нейната модернизация е сред приоритетните проекти. Железопътната линия е с обща дължина 58 км. Основно, по отношение на характеристиките на терена, през който преминава, линията може да бъде разделена на три участъка: София – Петърч – 23 км относително равнинен терен; Петърч – Драгоман – 22 км хълмисто-планински терен и Драгоман – граница с Република Сърбия – 13 км планински терен. Границите на железопътните участъци, включени в обхвата за подготовка в настоящото проектно предложение са както следва:• От крайна стрелка на Централна гара София, посока Драгоман по главната ж.п. линия Ниш – Драгоман – София (Централна гара София не се включва);• до граница с Република Сърбия.С цел постигане на прогнозния трафик, покриване на изискванията за оперативната съвместимост и осъществяване на възможността за скорости от 160 км/ч и 120 км/ч съответно за пътнически и товарни композиции е разработен идеен проект на вариант за модернизация на железопътната линия в участъка София - Драгоман - Спирка Умляк, предвиждащ излизане от съществуващото трасе.
