In recent years, the company has focused on the construction and operation of its own cable distribution systems for TV and Internet, assembling of electronic apparatus for them and the construction of networks. Since 1998, the company started the construction of a cable distribution network in the town of Saedineje, and subsequently the territory of the cable distribution network expanded to 14 settlements, grouped into 4 analogue main stations, the connection between them being via an optical cable line. In 2008 ELITCOM Ltd. started building its own LAN network for Internet supply in the town of Saedinenie, and over the years it continues to expand its scope of activity in other settlements. The planned activities under the project include improvement of production processes and implementation of new technologies for improving resource efficiency and efficiency, and will be realised through the delivery and commissioning of the Transmission System for TV and Internet over passive optical cable network and devices for measuring signals in PON networks. The Passive Optical Network (PON) is a network architecture from fibre-type point to many points without using active equipment requiring power on the network. It provides optical connection and uses unpowered optical splitters through which signals are delivered one optical fibre to many private homes and office spaces. PON allows much more services, much higher speeds and high connection reliability compared to traditional copper cable networks. Optical cables carry data by light over huge distances without affecting quality. The investment in this technology effectively ensures a smooth future increase in the required number of subscribers and services, as the real transmission environment has unlimited capacity. This technology does not require power supply and is defined as a green IT platform. (English) | |||||||||||||||

(Bulgarian)
