People with disabilities are among the largest social groups at risk of social exclusion. This is a particular force and applies to small municipalities such as Belene, where employment opportunities are limited, and for people with disabilities as well as their carers’ family members, the risk of social exclusion is quite real. Belene Municipality’s intentions are to use its existing structures to attract other organisations to people with disabilities and to provide them with integrated care, thus enabling the persons covered to participate actively in the social life of the community as well as in the labour market. By implementing the activities in this project proposal, targeted actions will be provided to expand their opportunities for independent and independent living and increase the motivation and opportunities for participation in employment of 100 vulnerable people from the municipality of Belene. The project is aimed at people with disabilities and family carers living in all settlements in the municipality of Belene and provides for the following activities: providing social, health and educational services to 100 persons with disabilities, increasing motivation and psychological support to encourage them to engage in employment, provide training on key competences, provide job-search support and organise an information campaign to inform society and employers about their opportunities. The expected results are at least 100 persons with disabilities and family members caring for them to receive social services, a minimum of 50 persons with disabilities and family members caring for them have started looking for work or have a job, including as self-employed.
