The farm is exclusively specialised in the fruit and vegetables sector and has a total area of 24,800 decares. The applicant uses the agricultural land under a lease contract for a period of 10 business years, registered with the Registry Office of Plovdiv and the Municipal Office of Agriculture in Saedinenie. The farm grows stone fruit species — plums and watermelons. For the entire area available, the farmer has a contract for control and certification of organic production with the “Institut for CONTROL OF BIOLOGICAL PRODUCTS” with the logo “BIO Ellas”. Intends, during the implementation of the project, to increase its holding with new permanent crops, also from prunes, to grow according to the rules of organic production. The conversion to organic production will increase the applicant’s income and hence its competitiveness. Organic crops also contribute to the protection of the environment, increase resource efficiency and mitigate the effects of climate change. Balkanska’s desire is to appoint one person on an employment contract, which will allow all agricultural activities to be carried out in due time and will have a positive impact on employment in the area. He’s going to take an 8-hour course on environmental protection in agriculture. (English) | |||||||||||||||

(Bulgarian)
