Projekti eesmärk on kaitstavate elupaigatüüpide ja kaitstavate liikide elupaikade taastamine Pärnu jõestikus. Lammutatakse Sindi pais, asendatakse kärestikuga ja rekonstrueeritakse Jändja pais. Kaladele avatakse rändeks kogu Pärnu jõgi. Lisajõgedel avatakse rändeteid, taastatakse koelmualasid ning kogu jõestikus viiakse läbi uuringuid. Projekti tulemusel saavad kalad Pärnu jões ja selle lisajõgedes vabalt liikuda, elada ja paljuneda. Projekti omafinantseeringut toetatakse riiklikest vahenditest. (Estonian)

The aim of the project is to restore the habitat types to be protected and the habitats of the protected species in the Pärnu river. The Sindi trunk is demolished, replaced by a rapid and reconstructed by Jändja. The whole Pärnu river is opened for migration to fish. Migration routes are opened on tributaries, weather areas are rehabilitated and research is carried out throughout the river. As a result of the project, fish can move, live and reproduce freely in the Pärnu River and its tributaries. The self-financing of the project will be supported by public funds. (English)
