Västernorrland en av landets starkaste regioner inom digitalisering och IKT. I länet finns en stark forskningsmiljö samt akademisk grundutbildning på Mittuniversitetet. Kompetensförsörjningen inom denna bransch har identidfierats som en mycket akut tillväxthämmande faktor. Västernorrland har följande vision angående den regionala digitala agendan "Ett internationellt föredöme för hur en rgion kan skapa hållbar tillväxt genom att dra fördel av digitaliseringens möjligheter". Projektets övergripande mål är att skapa tillväxt i en region med god och långsiktig tillgång till kompetent arbetskraft, Projektmål är att öka omsättningen och tillväxt inom IKT-sektorn genom fugerande kort- och långsiktig kompetensförsörjning, ökad nationell synlig och attraktionskraft samt stärkt digital konkurrenskraft i form av nya innovativa tjänster och nya utvecklade företag. Västernorrland is one of the country’s strongest regions in digitalisation and ICT. The county has a strong research environment and academic undergraduate education at Mid Sweden University. The competence supply in this industry has been identified as a very acute growth inhibitor. Västernorrland has the following vision of the regional digital agenda “An international example of how a rgion can create sustainable growth by taking advantage of the opportunities of digitalisation”. The overall goal of the project is to create growth in a region with good and long-term access to competent workforce.The project goal is to increase sales and growth in the ICT sector through fugering short- and long-term competence provision, increased national visibility and attractiveness, and strengthened digital competitiveness in the form of innovative new services and new developed companies.
