Le programme de restauration des poissons migrateurs du bassin de la Garonne en Occitanie permet d'assurer le repeuplement en saumon atlantique et vise à acquérir un maximum de connaissances sur les populations de poissons migrateurs et leurs habitats afin de : - restaurer durablement une population de saumon atlantique qui avait totalement disparu, - assurer une gestion raisonnée de la ressource pour des espèces qui étaient ou sont encore fortement exploitées comme l'alose ou la lamproie marine. The Garonne Basin Migratory Fish Restoration Program in Occitanie provides Atlantic salmon restocking and aims to gain maximum knowledge of migratory fish populations and their habitats in order to: — sustainably restore an Atlantic salmon population that had completely disappeared, — ensure rational management of the resource for species that were or are still heavily exploited such as shad or sea lamprey.
