Project information and communication to stakeholders and media.TOIMENPIDE 2: Procurement of planning tasks and other assignments from forest bio-sector operators. Conception, launch and piloting of multidisciplinary student-powered Carbon sink Design Studio activities that produce visible and touchable prototypes for forest bioeconomy product ideas. Product blanks are promoted through service design. An exhibition will be organised to present the results of Design Studio and ready-made prototypes. MEASURE 3: Carbon sink Design Studio’s operations are documented and evaluated throughout the project, the evaluation is carried out by a representative of the working life. Building a functional and service model: Describe the content and structure of the activity, the processes, actors, partners, customers and resources and the service and the value of its operations to the partners. Preparation of a study and plan for the continuation of activities after the project. Information and dissemination of results.Executive RESULT OF PROJECT 1: A joint network of developers in forestry and creative industries. Description of the current state, challenges and opportunities of cooperation in the forest-bio-creative sectors.Outcome 2: Concrete examples of methods and opportunities for co-development of forest biotechnology and creative industries. The result will be to offer new solutions for the manufacture and commercial exploitation of a wide range of operational and industrial products, in particular logistical products such as packaging.     Hiilinielu Design Studio -hankkeessa kehitetään metsäbioalan osaajien ja luovien alojen osaajien yhteistyötä ja keskinäistä ymmärrystä toistensa toimialoista monialaisen liiketoiminnan kehittämiseksi. Tavoitteena on edistää metsäbioalan uudenlaisten tuotteiden kaupallistamista luovien alojen (muotoilu ja media) osaamisen avulla. Tämä luo uusia työllistymisen ja liiketoiminnan mahdollisuuksia myös luovien alojen osaajille. Hankkeessa kehitetään monialainen, palvelumuotoilua hyödyntävä ”Hiilinielu Design Studio” -malli metsäbioalan tuote- ja palveluinnovoinnille, joka perustuu yritysten ja opiskelijoiden yhteistyöhön. Hankepartnerit ovat TAMK, LAMK ja Design Forum Finland yhteistyökumppaneinaan Suomen Pakkausyhdistys ry, Uusi puu -hanke, Biotalous-Inka, Suomen muotoilusäätiö ja MaMa ry. Hanke alkaa 1.10.2015 ja päättyy 30.9.2017.HANKKEEN TAVOITTEETTAVOITE 1: Lisätä metsäbioalan osaajien ja luovien alojen osaajien ymmärrystä toistensa toimialoista ja toimintatavoista.TAVOITE 2: Edistää metsäbioalan uudenlaisten tuotteiden kaupallistamista luovien alojen (muotoilu, viestintä, media) osaamisen avulla.TAVOITE 3: Luoda monialainen Hiilinielu Design Studio -malli metsäbioalan tuote- ja palveluinnovoinnille. HANKKEEN TOIMENPITEET TOIMENPIDE 1: Kielikylvyt: Järjestetään valtakunnallisia tapahtumia metsäbioalan yrityksille muotoiluosaamisesta ja sen liiketoiminnallista merkityksestä. Järjestetään pienimuotoisia ekskursioita metsäbioalan ja luovien alojen yrityksiin ammattilaisille ja opiskelijoille. Kartoitetaan metsäbioalan ja luovien alojen yritysten ja ammattilaisten valmiuksia ja tarpeita monialaiseen yhteistyöhön. Hankkeen tiedottaminen ja viestintä sidosryhmille ja medialle.TOIMENPIDE 2: Hankitaan suunnittelutehtäviä ja muita toimeksiantoja metsäbioalan toimijoilta. Konseptoidaan, käynnistetään ja pilotoidaan monialainen opiskelijavoimin toteutettava Hiilinielu Design Studio -toiminta, jossa tuotetaan silmin havaittavia ja käsin kosketeltavia prototyyppejä metsäbiotalouden tuoteideoille. Tuoteaihioita edistetään palvelumuotoilun keinoin. Järjestetään Design Studion tulosten ja valmiiden prototyyppien esittämiseksi näyttely. TOIMENPIDE 3: Hiilinielu Design Studion toimintaa dokumentoidaan ja arvioidaan läpi hankkeen, arvioinnista vastaa työelämän edustaja. Toiminta- ja palvelumallin rakentaminen: Kuvataan toiminnan sisältö ja rakenne, prosessit, toimijat, kumppanit, asiakkaat ja resurssit ja palvelu ja sen toiminnasta koituva arvo yhteistyökumppaneille. Laaditaan selvitys ja suunnitelma toiminnan jatkamiseksi hankkeen jälkeen. Tulosten tiedottaminen ja levittäminen.HANKKEEN TULOKSETTULOS 1: Metsätalouden ja luovien alojen yhteinen kehittäjäverkosto. Kuvaus metsäbioalan ja luovien alojen yhteistyön nykytilasta, haasteista ja mahdollisuuksista.TULOS 2: Konkreettiset esimerkit metsäbioalan ja luovien alojen yhteiskehittelyn menetelmistä ja mahdollisuuksista. Tuloksena kyetään tarjoamaan uusia ratkaisuja erilaisten käyttö- ja teollisuustuotteiden, erityisesti logististen tuotteiden, kuten pakkausten, valmistukseen ja kaupalliseen hyödyntämiseen.
