The main theme of this project is the promotion of a creative wellbeing economy using digital and gaming methods. Among the hotspots of smart specialisation in the Kymenlaakso region, the project therefore targets digitalisation, which is implemented especially from the perspectives of health and well-being and tourism. The background to the project is that support for well-being will take place more in the future through commercial or commercial blending with public funding. In addition, the added value of products is sought from their well-being characteristics. The creative economy of well-being is a particularly topical concept due to the structural change in social and health services. Social and health services are moving towards a more competitive model with the ongoing regional reform, which opens up new business opportunities. This project has the following objectives: a) to promote the creative wellbeing economy in the Kymenlaakso region by creating a centre of expertise for the creative wellbeing economy in the region, b) to help companies and service providers in the area to remain competitive also when the customer’s freedom of choice brought about by the reform of social and health services, c) to create new business by identifying and developing completely new occupational sectors in the interface between digital and wellbeing, tourism and physical activity, d) and to strengthen international networking of research and business related to the creative wellbeing economy. The project measures will be implemented in four different work packages: 1) Establishing a centre of expertise in the creative wellbeing economy using digitalisation, gamification, service design and new technology in Kouvola.2) Enhanced international cooperation in the creative well-being economy (3) New knowledge about the evolving nature of digital social innovations for the use of companies in the region, public administration and educational institutions.4) Concepts, develop, test and produce new solutions in the creative wellbeing economy. The project will result in innovation platform-creating solutions for the promotion of the wellbeing economy, supporting T&K investments in the northern Kymenlaakso region, creating new jobs and strengthening multidisciplinary RDI cooperation. The project will create new products and services for the interfaces of different sectors. As a result of the project, at least two new companies will be created as well as publications in the area of the wellbeing economy. Educational and development products are created in the form of well-being economy, various hackathons/Summer Schools and courses. (English)
