Aktualna praktyka gospodarcza wskazuje, że elektroniczne obowody drukowane wykorzystywane są jedynie do stwierdzenia, czy występują one w produkcie czy nie. Przeprowadzone prace B+R pozwolą na opracowanie technologii dotyczącej eod, która będzie umożliwiać zapisywanie dodatkowych treści i pozwalać na ich odczytywanie przez osobę weryfikującą prawdziwość danego elementu.
