Since 2014, the FTM association has been carrying out a project entitled “Job coaching Flo8” which is aimed exclusively at women’s audiences far from the professional world. The main objective is to increase their level of knowledge of the labour market, to develop their autonomy in job search and to promote their professional integration: access to employment, entry into training or setting up a business. In 2018, the Flo8 Job coaching project aims to support 80 women, including 16 newcomers, all unemployed and over 18 years of age. The challenge is that at least 16 participants join the action before 31 December 2018. To do this, the project team relies on the technique of job coaching. Job coaching is an individualised, structured and structuring support enabling coaches to appropriate the resources needed to position themselves in employment, training, or as a business manager. Job coaching takes the form of face-to-face meetings between the job coach and the woman in the action. The frequency and duration of interviews depend on individual opportunities, needs expressed or not, expectations and abilities. Thus, at the start of this collaborative work, the person and the job coach draw up a diagnosis of the initial situation. The aim is to identify the strengths and areas of improvement of each participant, as well as to investigate the barriers that prevent entry into employment. The joint analysis then focuses on social life, the economic condition, the organisation of family life, educational and experiential pathways, the professional project, the manipulation of job search techniques, knowledge of the labour market and the motivation for success. In order for people to trust their concerns and projects, the job coach is subject to professional discretion and the FTM association ensures that everyone’s privacy information is protected. Once the diagnosis has been made, the parties shall reflect together on possible solutions, immediate or future, before selecting those that best suit the needs of the person concerned. These solutions can be of the kind of knowledge, advice, techniques dealing with issues of self-knowledge, mastery of the labour market, communication around its professional offer, the importance of a network, the analysis of prospecting procedures, etc. During job coaching sessions particular attention is paid to the level of autonomy and skills of each participant. The actions envisaged focus on concrete job-seeking approaches, such as: the survey of companies, the sending of spontaneous applications, consultation and response to job offers, the re-launch of applications, the registration in temporary agencies, the filing of CVs on job sites, the creation of a personal training account, the simulation of interviews, etc. The aim of all these steps is to position those coached in employment, training or activity creation. Once the participants are inserted, the job coaching action continues. The aim here is to ensure post-integration follow-up during the initial stages of entry into employment or training. This approach is carried out with the aim of: * resolve possible conflicts * bring information * develop a relationship of trust with business leaders * keep the person in employment. In addition, to promote the professional integration of participants in the Flo8 Job coaching project, the association makes available an office equipped with office and computer tools, with the Internet, educational resources, IPADS, stamped envelopes, company directories and interview preparation videos. At the end of all these actions, the expected result is that at least 20 % of the 80 participants in Job coaching Flo8, will be professionally integrated before 31/12/2018. (English)

(French)
