    Le projet de rénovation et d’extension du palais des ducs de Lorraine - Musée lorrain est conduit par la Ville de Nancy, en partenariat avec l’État, la Région Grand Est, en concertation avec le Conseil Départemental de Meurthe-et-Moselle, et en lien avec la Société d’Histoire de la Lorraine et du Musée Lorrain. Les grands axes du projet consistent à : -Valoriser l’exceptionnel ensemble patrimonial abritant le musée, dans une démarche respectueuse de l’environnement, -Poursuivre l’histoire architecturale du site en le dotant de nouveaux espaces de services, d’étude et de convivialité répondant aux besoins d’un grand musée du XXIe siècle, -Proposer cinq nouveaux parcours de visites simples, lisibles et interactifs, -Créer un espace muséal ouvert sur le quartier et la ville, accessible de tous côtés. Les outils numériques tiennent une place essentielle dans le projet de rénovation du palais des ducs de Lorraine – Musée lorrain, qu’ils soient installés à terme dans ses murs ou dématérialisés sur le Web. Musée d’art et d’histoire, le Musée lorrain de demain proposera un parcours chronologique, depuis la Préhistoire jusqu’au XXe siècle. Le numérique permettra de présenter le contexte de création ou d’utilisation de certaines des pièces exposées : comment les fibules étaient-elles portées par les Mérovingiens ?
