The SPHEREAU project (Solutions of Hierarchised Programming for the Efficiency of Water Networks) aims to develop a modular, multidisciplinary and operational decision support solution to improve the performance of a drinking water distribution system. The solution targets the market for small and medium-sized communities in France and internationally. The actual implementation of the tool on a Water Union will demonstrate this operationality because its implementation will allow: — to optimise its instrumentation according to the objectives to be achieved, the current and projected functioning of networks and economic criteria; — to prioritise short, medium and long-term performance improvement interventions by combining mechanistic models and system identification (associating dynamic data processing and operating knowledge rules); — reduce energy consumption (objective 15 %) and increase productivity (objective 15 %). The following partnership brings together all the skills needed for the development, commercialisation and future deployment of the approach: —SAUR: operator of drinking water systems; end-user potential and marketing structure of the solution. —IRH IC: consulting engineering firm which has already developed various decision support tools and which specialises in the study and implementation of power supply systems (English)
