Neurodegenerative pathologies lead to progressive deterioration of nerve cells causing symptoms of dementia. There is currently no treatment available to cure or limit the evolution of this dementia. The ROGOWSKI project pursues the objective of developing molecular compounds targeting an enzyme expressed in neurons and whose function is critical for the regulation of microtubules structuring cells. Research on this enzyme should ultimately limit the morphological change of cells and their deterioration by identifying new therapies that may use inhibitors of this enzyme. (English)
