Les outils numériques permettent aujourd'hui de contribuer directement ou indirectement aux soins des usagers du système de santé. Parfois très ciblés, souvent dépendant des technologies évolutives nécessitant par ailleurs un bon niveau cognitif des usagers directs, ces outils trouvent leur limite actuelle soit dans l'absence suffisante de leur adaptation aux besoins exprimés des patients, soit dans l'absence tout court de solution proposée sur les fondamentaux d'un parcours patient en amont, pendant et en aval des temps de soins à l'hôpital.Ces outils visent à une appropriation progressive par le patient et ses accompagnants de son propre parcours au sein de l'hôpital et plus généralement dans son parcours santé.
