The ICRC project aims to develop a sensor for measuring gases in the air for an initial industrial application in the agricultural world. This sensor will be based on photoacoustic detection technique, which combines a laser with a sound source in order to identify and reconstruct the profile of the gas studied. The development of such a prototype would allow agricultural companies to control the concentration of ethylene in fruit and vegetables, thus adapting the growth of their products. This sensor could subsequently be adapted to the measurement of other gases by individualising the light and sound sources used. This project is based on an innovative research approach and is likely to generate product innovation that can be valued in the agri-food industries for quality control. (English)
