Chronic back pain is a major public health issue. While supervised physical rehabilitation has the highest level of evidence of effectiveness among existing treatments, compliance with home exercise programs, key to lasting healing, is low. Therefore, the HODOREV project aims to develop a new, comprehensive, user-friendly, easy-to-use and inexpensive intermediation tool between the patient at home and his/her therapist in the care centre. This tool will combine three bricks: an exergamous using virtual reality technologies, a connected garment for the patient practicing the exercises offered by the exergamous, and a multi-support social platform to recreate the link between patients and therapists and between the patients themselves. Such a tool will improve the effectiveness of home care for chronic back pain and thus reduce the costs of chronic back pain. Expected benefits: The HODOREV tool is positioned on the market for health-related connected applications and tools, which are now growing. In this market, there is currently no device that is really effective for the treatment of chronic back pain, in particular because of the total lack of a high-performance technical solution at home and connected to the care centre. As a result, HODOREV has very favourable prospects. (English) | |||||||||||||||

(French)
