Im Zuge von Deichverstärkungsmaßnahmen in Dagebüll soll die Deichpromenade im nördlichen sowie im südlichen Abschnitt touristisch aufgewertet werden. Übergeordnetes Ziel der geplanten Maßnahme ist es, die Zahl der Übernachtungen in Dagebüll und Umgebung zu steigern und mehr Gäste in die Region zu locken. Dagebülls Deich mit der Wasserkante soll zu einem maritimen Erlebnisraum entwickelt werden. Die jetzige Gestaltung des Deiches ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß und nur teilweise barrierefrei.Mit der geplanten touristischen Neuordnung des Deichbereiches sollen Folgeinvestitionen und qualitative Angebotsverbesserung in der Gemeinde ausgelöst werden.
