    La segunda convocatoria de Ciudades Inteligentes se traduce en la concesión en régimen de concurrencia competitiva, y conforme a los principios de publicidad, transparencia, igualdad y no discriminación, de ayudas en especie a entidades locales o agrupaciones de entidades locales que participen en la presente convocatoria de ciudades inteligentes, bien individualmente o bien en cooperación. La iniciativa trata de impulsar proyectos de demostración en energía, transporte y tecnologías de información y la comunicación (TIC) en las zonas urbanas. Se pretende que la utilización de tecnologías innovadoras, integradas, eficientes y con capacidad de penetrar en el mercado con facilidad, sitúe a las ciudades en el centro de la innovación.     The second call for Smart Cities is the concession in competitive competition, and in accordance with the principles of publicity, transparency, equality and non-discrimination, of in-kind aid to local entities or groups of local entities participating in this call for smart cities, either individually or in cooperation. The initiative seeks to promote demonstration projects in energy, transport and information and communication technologies (ICT) in urban areas. It is intended that the use of innovative technologies, integrated, efficient and capable of penetrating the market easily, places the cities in the center of innovation. (English)
