Autis has been collaborating with leading car manufacturers for years, advising them and designing innovative solutions for the optimisation and automation of their processes. At the present time, autis has a knowledge of the automotive sector that allows it to identify and accurately quantify the advantages that would bring to all car manufacturers the automation of the tasks of repairing the defects found after each of the different painting operations. These repair tasks today are carried out manually, being one of the few parts of the production process of the automotive industry that, due to its complexity, have not yet managed to automate successfully._x000D_ The starting point of this project is the advantages of dynamic body inspection technology called SVS (Surface Verification System), recently developed by autis. In particular, the information provided by these dynamic inspection systems will be conveniently used to automate the tasks of repairing found defects. _x000D_ from a technological point of view, an advanced solution will be developed and challenges of great complexity will be needed, making it necessary to combine methodologies and technologies in the fields of robotics, computerised artificial vision and classification of the typology of defects through deep machine learning and processing techniques. _x000D_ as the main result of the project, autis hopes to obtain a combination of technology and methodology to lay the foundations of an automatic defect repair system on painted surfaces of vehicle bodies in manufacturing environments.
