The current technology se_x000D_ developed by incorporating radio telemetry to the pacemaker, about 10 years ago, and the development of Home Monitoring was facilitated. _x000D_ allowing the monitoring of the pacemaker in the patient’s home and via the telephone fixed line data network se_x000D_ transmitted patient info to the company’s server. Its use is normalising in the US (origin of cyber alert) but in_x000D_ Europe not yet. This is why these safety problems are either solved or the future development of the_x000D_ pacemaker and the quality of life of patients is totally limited, leading in turn to the saturation of the hospital system in the follow-up of the_x000D_ pacemaker. Cybersecurity implies a necessary development of electronics, user interface software and firmware in the_x000D_ pacemaker system, towards cybersecurity. On the other hand, there is currently no handheld programmer of_x000D_ pacemaker to be used outside hospital settings that would facilitate the patient’s life, along with a safe home monitoring.     El 30/08/2017 el CERTSI (Centro Nacional de Seguridad e Industria) en su bitácora de seguridad ha publicado: Medio millón de_x000D_ marcapasos en EEUU están expuestos a ciberataques._x000D_ El sistema de marcapasos está formado por el marcapasos implantado, el programador y el Home Monitoring. La tecnología actual se_x000D_ desarrolló incorporando la telemetría via radio al marcapasos , hace alrededor de 10 años, y se facilito el desarrollo del Home Monitoring. ,_x000D_ permitiendo la monitorización del marcapasos en el domicilio del paciente y a través de la red de datos de línea fija de teléfono se_x000D_ transmitía al servidor de la compaña la info del paciente. Su uso está normalizando en EEUU (origen de la alerta cibernética) pero en_x000D_ Europa todavía no. Por todo ello o se solucionan estos problemas de seguridad o está totalmente limitado el desarrollo futuro de los_x000D_ marcapasos y la calidad de vida de los pacientes, conllevando a su vez a la saturación del sistema hospitalario en el seguimiento de los_x000D_ marcapasos. La ciberseguridad implica un necesario desarrollo de la electronica , del software del interfaz de usuario y del firmware en el_x000D_ sistema de los marcapasos, hacia la ciberseguridad. Por otro lado en la actualidad, no existe un programador portátil de mano de_x000D_ marcapasos para ser utilizado fuera de los entornos hospitalarios que facilitaría la vida del paciente, junto a un home monitoring seguro.
