Hypersensitivity reactions to antineoplastic agents have increased, and without an adequate allergological approach patients who present them may be deprived of first-line treatments. The main objectives of this study are to evaluate the validity of the Basophil Activation Technique (BAT) as a useful test in the diagnosis of Allergy to Platinums and Taxans against clinical diagnosis and to evaluate immunological changes (activation of basophils and T lymphocyte proliferation and release of cytokines) of the desensitisation process in patients allergic to Platinums and Taxans. Methodology: a prospective cross-sectional study will be conducted to evaluate the validity of the Basophil activation (BAT) technique. A blind and independent comparison of the TAB shall be performed with the result of the skin test and the controlled exposure test with the Platinums or Taxans. In addition, a prospective longitudinal study will be carried out, including a cohort of patients allergic to Platinums or Taxans who undergo a process of desensitisation against these antineoplastic agents. The control group will be those patients with negative allergological study who continue with their usual therapeutic regimen of platinum/Taxan administration. (English) | |||||||||||||||

(Spanish)
