(Spanish)

In Spain, approximately 30 % of adolescents have experienced some form of intimate partner violence (VPA). In order to prevent it, it is necessary to identify its determinants. In this project we intend to use the procedures of the YourLife project (YL) to deepen the knowledge of the determinants of VPA, both personal and situational, in a representative sample of 4500 adolescents in school from 12 to 18 years, taking into account their geographical, cultural, socio-economic and educational diversity. A cross-sectional and longitudinal study shall be carried out. The data will be collected with the YL questionnaire, to which further questions about the types of APV will be added. It will be answered online in schools. Descriptive and multivariate analyses will be carried out to identify the determinants of each type of APV (opinions and attitudes on partner relationships and violence, gender stereotypes, habits and lifestyles, family and social environment). A report will also be prepared for each centre with its results. Better understanding of the profile of adolescents involved in VPA and the modifiable circumstances of such violence will help to develop preventive programs in schools aimed specifically at these adolescents. Also, making students aware of VPA situations can help them to become aware of the problem and even make it easier for those involved to seek help. (English)
