The purpose and objective of the RDI project is to develop a new service 100 % automated production of components for electromechanical drives (EP) in automotive and other industries. The aim is to become the first Tier 2 supplier in the automotive industry capable of offering its Tier 1 customers a 100 % automated service for the production of components of electromechanical drives, providing them with: one tier 2 supplier’s offer of unprecedented annual quantities of EP components (up to 45 million components per year by 2025 — from the current maximum of 10-11 million components per year) and at the highest speed and in top quality (which is now only possible with manual production and human quality control); now unimaginable production flexibility with the production of up to 20 different types of components in a single production cell with a single injection molding tool, the production of many different component designs for different Tier 1 manufacturers in the automotive industry and for manufacturers from other industries (such as furniture industry); very reliable delivery of orders within a minimum time frame; very fast adaptation of production cells to configurations of different industries (to produce industrial-specific component designs) — shortening the adaptation time from the current 29 weeks to just 15 weeks. Namen in cilj RRI projekta je razvoj nove storitve 100% avtomatizirane proizvodnje komponent za elektromehanske pogone (EP) v avtomobilski in drugih industrijah. Namen je postati prvi Tier 2 dobavitelj v avtomobilski industriji, ki bo svojim Tier 1 kupcem sposoben ponuditi 100% avtomatizirano storitev za proizvodnjo komponent elektromehanskih pogonov, kar jim bo zagotavljalo: ponudbo s strani enega TIer 2 dobavitelja do sedaj nepredstavljivih letnih količin EP komponent (do 45 milijonov komponent letno do leta 2025 – iz sedanjega maksimuma 10-11 milijonov komponent letno) in to maksimalno hitro in v vrhunski kakovosti (ki je sedaj možna samo z ročno proizvodnjo in človeško kontrolo kvalitete); sedaj nepredstavljivo fleksibilnost proizvodnje s proizvodnjo do 20 različnih tipov komponent v eni sami proizvodni celici z enim samim orodjem za brizganje, proizvodnjo veliko različnih dizajnov komponent za različne Tier 1 proizvajalce v avtomobilski industriji ter za proizvajalce iz drugih industrij (kot npr. pohištvena industrija); zelo zanesljivo dobavo naročil v minimalnem času; zelo hitro adaptacijo proizvodnih celic na konfiguracije različnih industrij (za proizvodnjo dizajnov komponent, ki so specifične po industrijah) – skrajšanje časa adaptacije iz sedanjih 29 tednov na samo 15 tednov.
