EL RETO DE LA UNION EUROPEA (UE) PARA EL 2020 ES QUE EL PORCENTAJE DE EERR DEBERIA CUBRIR UN 20% DEL CONSUMO TOTAL DE ENERGIA Y PARA EL 2030, AL MENOS UN 27%. LA TRANSFORMACION DEL SISTEMA ENERGETICO ABARCA LOS ASPECTOS AMBIENTALES, TECNOLOGICOS, SOCIALES, CULTURALES Y ECONOMICOS. AUNQUE LOS OBJETIVOS DE IMPULSAR LA TRANSICION ENERGETICA SON AMBICIOSOS, ESTA VA POR DIFERENTES CAMINOS EN LOS PAISES DE UE, RESISTIENDOSE ALGUNOS A ESTE PROCESO. _x000D_ EL RETO DE ESTE PROYECTO ES COMPRENDER LOS ASPECTOS TRANSVERSALES PARA UNA TRANSICION ENERGETICA EXITOSA EN UE. NUESTRO PROYECTO ES UNA CONTINUACION DE VARIOS PROYECTOS -SOBRE UNA BASE COMPARATIVA- EN LOS QUE HAN PARTICIPADO LOS MIEMBROS DEL EQUIPO DE INVESTIGACION. ESTE EQUIPO MULTIDISCIPLINAR E INTERNACIONAL INCLUYE GEOGRAFOS, ECONOMISTAS, INGENIEROS, AGRONOMOS, ARQUITECTOS Y AMBIENTOLOGOS DE CUATRO PAISES EUROPEOS. ENTRE LOS OBJETIVOS GENERALES DEL PROYECTO SE PUEDE DESTACAR LOS SIGUIENTES:_x000D_ - DESARROLLAR UNA NUEVA COMPRENSION TEORICA DE LA NATURALEZA Y DINAMICA DE LA TRANSICION HACIA ENERGIAS RENOVABLES, ANALIZANDOSE LOS PATRONES SOCIO-ECONOMICOS, ESPACIALES Y PAISAJISTICOS Y DIFERENCIAS REGIONALES EN ESPAÑA, ITALIA, REPUBLICA CHECA Y HUNGRIA, IDENTIFICANDOSE LOS FACTORES DE EXITO Y BARRERAS QUE IMPIDEN UNA UTILIZACION MAS EFICIENTE DEL POTENCIAL DE RECURSOS DE EERR ESPECIFICOS Y ESTUDIANDO COMO ESTOS FACTORESO Y BARRERAS EVOLUCIONAN CON EL TIEMPO. ENTRE OTROS, APLICAREMOS UNA ESTRATEGIA DE INVESTIGACION COMPARATIVA A VARIOS NIVELES (NACIONAL, REGIONAL Y LOCAL), REALIZAREMOS ENTREVISTAS SEMI-ESTRUCTURADAS CON LOS ACTORES SOCIALES EN DIFERENTES AMBITOS DE ESTUDIO Y APLICAREMOS ANALISIS MULTICRITERIO DE TOMA DE DECISIONES (MCDA) Y ANALISIS INPUT-OUTPUT. LA INVESTIGACION SE ENFOCARA SOBRE LAS TECNOLOGIAS RENOVABLES CLAVE EN LOS CUATRO PAISES: ENERGIA EOLICA, LA SOLAR FOTOVOLTAICA, BIOMASA Y BIOGAS._x000D_ EL EQUIPO DE INVESTIGADORES QUE INTEGRAN ADAPTAS, RESULTADO DE LA UNION DE CUATRO GRUPOS DE TRABAJO, GARANTIZA LA CONSECUCION TANTO DE OBJETIVOS AMBICIOSOS, QUE PUEDAN INFLUIR POSITIVAMENTE A LA PLANIFICACION Y POLITICA ENERGETICA, COMO DE LA DIFUSION DE SUS RESULTADOS. SU CARACTER MULTIDISCIPLINAR E INTERNACIONAL, ASI COMO LA ESPECIFICIDAD DE LA TRAYECTORIA INVESTIGADORA DE CADA GRUPO EN MATERIA DE EERR, ENRIQUECERA EL INTERCAMBIO DE RESULTADOS Y FACILITARA LA REFLEXION CRITICA CONJUNTA ACERCA DE LOS OBJETIVOS Y METODOS DE ANALISIS. LAS METODOLOGIAS UTILIZADAS EN ESTE PROYECTO SERAN EXTRAPOLABLES A OTROS AMBITOS GEOGRAFICOS COMPARABLES. (Spanish)

    IN RESPONSE TO CLIMATE CHANGE, LIMITED FOSSIL FUELS, AND RISING GLOBAL ENERGY DEMAND, RENEWABLE ENERGIES (RE) HAVE BEEN RAPIDLY DEVELOPED THROUGHOUT EUROPEAN UNION (EU). THE TARGET OF EU FOR 2020 IS TO COVER 20% OF FINAL ENERGY CONSUMPTION BY RE, AND FOR 2030 IT SHOULD RICH AT LEAST 27%. TRANSFORMATION OF ENERGY SYSTEM INCLUDES ENVIRONMENTAL, TECHNOLOGICAL, SOCIAL, CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC ASPECTS. WHILE THERE ARE AMBITIOUS OBJECTIVES TO BOOST RE TRANSITION, IT IS MORE AND MORE EVIDENT THAT THIS IT IS GOING DIFFERENTLY IN DIFFERENT EUROPEAN CONTRIES, AND SOME COUNTRY RESIST THIS PROCESS. _x000D_ THIS PROJECT'S CHALLENGE IS UNDERSTANDING OF TRANSVERSAL ASPECTS OF ENERGY TRANSITION IN EU. OUR PROJECT IS CONTINUATION -ON A COMPARATIVE BASE- OF VARIOUS PROJECTS, IN WHICH ITS RESEARCH TEAM PARTICIPANTS HAVE BEEN INVOLVED. THIS MULTIDISCIPLINARY INTERNATIONAL TEAM INCLUDES GEOGRAPHERS, ECONOMISTS, INGENEERS, AGRONOMISTS, SPATIAL PLANNERS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTISTS. AMONG GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT WE CAN HIGHLIGHT THE FOLLOWING:_x000D_ - TO DEVELOP A NEW THEORETICAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE NATURE AND DYNAMICS OF THE RENEWABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT, BY ANALYSING EXISTING SOCIAL-ECONOMIC, SPATIAL AND LANDSCAPE PATTERNS AND REGIONAL DIFFERENCES OF THE DEVELOPMENT IN FOUR EUROPEAN COUNTRIES (SPAIN, ITALY, CZECH REPUBLIC AND HUNGARY), IDENTIFYING ENABLERS (SUCCESS FACTORS) AND BARRIERS WHICH HINDER A MORE EFFECTIVE UTILIZATION OF THE REALIZABLE POTENTIAL OF SPECIFIC RENEWABLE ENERGY RESOURCES, AND STUDYING HOW THESE BARRIERS AND ENABLERS EVOLVE OVER TIME. AT THE SAME TIME IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE A SPACE-BASED STUDY WE WILL STUDY INTERACTIONS AMONG ALL DIFFERENT KIND OF RENEWABLES EXISTING IN DIFFERENT STUDY AREAS._x000D_ - ANALYZE INSTITUTIONAL CONTEXTS AND ACCEPTABILITY OF ENERGY TRANSITION IN ORDER TO PROVIDE INDICATIONS FOR EFFICIENT ENERGY POLICIES._x000D_ - ESTIMATE THE IMPACT OF RE ON PRODUCTION AND EMPLOYMENT._x000D_ - CONSOLIDATE AN INTERNATIONAL AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH GROUP FORMED THROUGH PREVIOUS COLABORATIONS._x000D_ IN ORDER TO ACHIVE THESE OBJECTIVES INTERDISCIPLINARY METHODOLOGIES AND STRATAGIES WILL BE USED. WE WILL APPLY A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS STRATEGY ON DIFFERENT LEVELS (NATIONAL, REGIONAL AND LOCAL), HELD AND CONDUCT SEMI-STRUCTURES INTERVIEWS WITH ACTORS IN DIFERENT STUDY AREAS AND APPLY A MULTI-CRITERIA DECISION ANALYSIS (MCDA) RESEARCH STRATEGY AND INPUT-OUTPUT ANALYSIS. THE RESEARCH WILL FOCUS ON THREE KEY RESEARCH DIRECTIONS REPRESENTED BY SPECIFIC RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES (WIND, SOLAR PV, BIOMASS AND BIOGAS) THAT HAVE BEEN SIGNIFICANTLY IMPLEMENTED IN THE STUDIED COUNTRIES IN RECENT YEARS AND THAT ARE MOST LIKELY TO BE FURTHER DEVELOPING AND SPATIALLY EXPANDING IN NEXT YEARS._x000D_ THE ADAPTAS RESEARCH TEAM, AS A RESULT OF THE JOINT OF FOUR DIFFERENT WORK GROUPS, WARRANTIES THE ACHIEVEMENT OF VERY AMBITIOUS OBJECTIVES, THAT CAN POSITIVELY INFLUENCE ENERGY PLANNING IN THE REGIONS ENVOLVED, AND FOR DIVULGATION OF THE MAIN FINDINGS. THE INTERNATIONAL AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY CHARACTERISTICS, TOGETHER WITH THE HIGH QUALITY OF THE RESEARCH GROUPS, WILL ENRICH THE EXCHANGE OF RESULTS AND FACILITATE THE CRITIC THINKING ABOUT THE OBJECTIVES AND ANALYSIS METHODS. THE APPLIED METHODOLOGIES WILL BE ABLE TO BE APPLIED TO OTHER GEOGRAPHIC AREAS. (English)
