The strategic plan (2017-2021) of the Center for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics (CBGP) includes of the Systems Biology and Biological Modeling area (SysBioM), the is integrated in its new program On Computational / Systems Biology and Genomics Program (CsBGP). SysBioM aims to combine the new technologies of images analysis and of specific separation of plant cells and microorganisms, with those of functional biology and genomics in order to carry out global studies of biological systems and to obtain precise computational models precise computations that will allow us to advance in our knowledge of relevant biological processes Of plants / microorganisms and to develop technological innovations. To achieve this objective, the CBGP has planned the reinforcement of its infrastructures and has put into operation the Cell Imaging and Modeling Lab (CIMOLAB) consisting of 2 confocal microscopes (one with super-resolution) and a motorized fluorescence microscope for capturing time series of images in living cells. SysBioM aims to complete the infrastructure of the new CsBGP program through the acquisition of: 1) flow cytometer with cell sorting systems (CF / FACS) for the study and separation of specific cell populations and their subsequent Omics characterization; 2) Miniaturized microbial growth monitoring system; 3) Equipment to determine the quality of the biomolecules of samples generated with 1 and 2, for subsequent genomic / functional analyses.
