ESTE PROYECTO SE PLANTEA CON DOS OBJETIVOS GENERICOS. DE UN LADO, LLEVAR A CABO LA EXPLOTACION CIENTIFICA INICIAL DE LOS INSTRUMENTOS EMIR Y MIRADAS A TRAVES DE PROGRAMAS DE OBSERVACION DE TIEMPO GARANTIZADO QUE SE HAN PREPARADO CON ANTERIORIDAD. EN AMBOS INSTRUMENTOS, LOS PROGRAMAS CIENTIFICOS DE LA PROPUESTA SE ENMARCAN EN LA LINEA DE LA ESTRUCTURA Y QUIMICA Y DINAMICA DE LA GALAXIA. EN AMBOS SE APROVECHA LA CAPACIDAD MULTIOBJETO EN EL INFRARROJO DE AMBOS INSTRUMENTOS PARA ACCEDER A LAS ZONAS CENTRALES DE LA VIA LACTEA, OSCURECIDAS POR LA ALTA DENSIDAD DE MATERIAL GALACTICO Y, POR TANTO, INACCESIBLES PARA LOS ESPECTROGRAFOS OPTICOS. DE ALGUNA MANERA, SE TRATA DE COMPLEMENTAR LA INFORMACION QUE SE ESTA OBTENIENDO EN OTROS RANGOS ESPECTRALES, FUNDAMENTALMENTE EL VISIBLE, EN PROYECTOS COMO SDSS, GAIA O LAMOST, Y TAMBIEN EN EL INFARROJO CON APOGEE. TAMBIEN SE INCLUYE EN ESTE PROYECTO LA LINEA DE INVESTIGACION EN ESTRUCTURA Y DINAMICA GALACTICAS QUE LLEVAMOS A CABO DE FORMA COMPLEMENTARIA A LOS PROGRAMAS DE OBSERVACION EMIR Y MIRADAS, EN ESTE CASO APROVECHANDO FUNDAMENTALMENTE LOS DATOS DE GAIA._x000D_ _x000D_ DE OTRO LADO, SE PLANTEA CONTINUAR EL TRABAJO INSTRUMENTAL EN AMBOS ESPECTROGRAFOS, QUE SE ENCUENTRAN EN DIFERENTES ETAPAS EN SU DESARROLLO, PERO COMPARTEN MUCHOS ASPECTOS TECNICOS Y OBSERVACIONALES. THIS PROJECT IS PROPOSED WITH TWO GENERIC OBJECTIVES. ON THE ONE HAND, CARRY OUT THE INITIAL SCIENTIFIC EXPLOITATION OF THE EMIR AND MIRADAS INSTRUMENTS THROUGH GUARANTEED TIME OBSERVATION PROGRAMS THAT HAVE BEEN PREPARED AHEAD OF TIME. IN BOTH INSTRUMENTS, THE SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMS OF THE PROPOSAL ARE FRAMED IN THE LINE OF THE STRUCTURE AND CHEMO-DYNAMICS OF THE GALAXY. BOTH USE THE MULTI-OBJECT INFRARED CAPABILITY OF THE TWO INSTRUMENTS TO OBSERVE THE CENTRAL AREAS OF THE MILKY WAY, OBSCURED BY THE HIGH DENSITY OF GALACTIC MATERIAL AND, THEREFORE, INACCESSIBLE TO OPTICAL SPECTROGRAPHS. IN SOME WAY, IT IS ABOUT COMPLEMENTING THE INFORMATION THAT IS BEING OBTAINED IN OTHER SPECTRAL RANGES, MOSTLY IN THE VISIBLE ONE, IN PROJECTS SUCH AS SDSS, GAIA OR LAMOST, AND ALSO IN THE NEAR INFRARED WITH APOGEE. ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS PROJECT IS THE LINE OF RESEARCH ON GALACTIC STRUCTURE AND DYNAMICS THAT WE CARRY OUT IN A COMPLEMENTARY WAY TO THE EMIR AND MIRADAS OBSERVATION PROGRAMS, IN THIS CASE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE GAIA DATA._x000D_ _x000D_ ON THE OTHER HAND, IT IS PROPOSED TO CONTINUE THE INSTRUMENTAL WORK IN BOTH SPECTROGRAPHS, WHICH ARE IN DIFFERENT STAGES IN THEIR DEVELOPMENT, BUT SHARE MANY TECHNICAL AND OBSERVATIONAL ASPECTS.
