Update of a high resolution thermal system, BT2.15, whose main body is in the Center of Thermal Engineering and Instrumentation, TEID (IDeTIC) of the University of Las Palmas, and its link to an FTIR-ATR to develop the line of TEID research group. Solid, liquid and gaseous compounds will be characterized, used in the energy area. The results obtained experimentally will have an impact on direct applications and improvements in the performance of energy systems. Specifically, these are tests with a dual purpose: (a) thermophysical aspects of various insulating materials, including clays, plastics, and other employees in equipment and construction, whose thermogram should inform about their thermal characteristics and life cycle. Additionally, and in the field of energy engineering, research is also directed to studies related to specific applications of certain liquids (such as ionics in the field of supercapacitors); It is important to improve existing energy storage systems, since, to be used in supercapacitors, the electrolyte can replace a conventional one. (b) structural characterization of compounds, via FTIR-ATR and microscopy. The experience of the group in the handling of the requested techniques, to characterize ionic materials and liquids is demonstrated in high level international publications. The generated research ine will suppose an impulse to the investigation of the group (English)
