The aim of the project is to create a network of accessible housing for individuals and families at risk of poverty, discrimination or social exclusion in the territory of Košice and Prešov self-governing regions, thus increasing their participation in society and the labour market through their active inclusion. We will implement the project through a gradually built network and at the heart of 6 cities and their adjacent catchment region in the territory of Eastern Slovakia, which falls under the less developed region. Based on the survey carried out within the network of our facilities, we have identified cities and their surroundings most suitable for the successful implementation of this service: Košice, Michalovce, Vranov nad Topľou, Prešov, Snina and Humenné. In all these cities, the Archdiocese charity Košice (hereinafter referred to as ADCH) has long established its “centres” – i.e. it provides various types of social services in them. Thanks to the implementation of the project, the social services already provided will be expanded with a new necessary element – accessible housing for selected individuals and families in need.  During the duration of the project, the project staff will actively and systematically work with clients – apartment users – not only to maintain this housing after the end of the project, but also to find a job and become full members of the community through a variety of social work activities such as social counselling, escorts, assistance in the exercise of rights and legally protected interests, etc. At least 14 clients are expected to be integrated into the company and into the labour market. (Slovak)
