OG – Decreasing the number of disadvantaged Roma people in the village of Slobozia Bradului who are in a situation of school dropout or risk of early school leaving, using integrated activities and methods of equal access to reintegration pathways in education for 200 adults and preventive intervention measures for 740 pre-schoolers and students, in order to increase social integration and employment, including through measures for professional development of 280 teachers and managerial staff. The project will generate a positive effect in the medium and long term through its intervention measures that will support the majority Roma children (90 %) from kindergarten and primary and secondary school students from schools in Slobozia Bradului in order to stay in school and continue their studies. In this way their chances of access to higher education will increase, in support of easier integration in the labour market at local or county level. Through the Second Chance Program (ADS), illiterate adults or with unfinished primary/gymnasial studies in Slobozia Bradului have the chance to be literacy and to increase the level of compulsory education. Equally, the project offers a chance for teaching staff from Slobozia Bradului and from 7 other disadvantaged rural communities to gain more professionalisation in the inclusive education activity with children from disadvantaged rural and/or Roma backgrounds. Facilitating the access of vulnerable groups to education, decreasing learners’ absenteeism and dropout phenomenon, increasing the percentage of students completing compulsory education, increasing the educational level of the population in Slobozia Bradului, developing human capital and creating increased opportunities for future participation of the target group members in the labour market, increasing the chances of disadvantaged people and their social inclusion, are positive effects on the sustainable development of the commune.
